Cahill - Crystal River 8'
This is a wonderful little fly rod.... perfect for smaller streams and rivers when "flippin" flies vs. long casts. It has as good as, if not better, action and response as several more expensive brands.

If you have these rods & dislike them, sell them to me!!!
I convert fly rods to spinning rods for casting ultralight sof baits. These rods are SUPERB for my use, I have 8 in different lengths & weights and am VERY HAPPY to relieve any dissatisfied owner of his burden. ax993@hotmail.com

Very nice fly rod
Very nice rod. Balances nicely with my 5/6 weight Orvis fly reel. The rod casts about 30 feet farther than my other rod and is light and sensitive. A little flexible but good for the 5 weight line. Going to try it out on florida bass

Southbend Cahill Fly Rod 6 wt.
I was given this rod as a gift. Action is very weak and slow. I like a traditional action rod, but this one is too slow. My main complaint is the reel seat. It is down locking, made of cheap plastic, and difficult to take a reel on and off. $45 at a Bass Pro would get you a 100% graphite rod with an aluminum reel seat. The rod did have one positive aspect. It made me realize that I need to add a quality 6 wt. rod to my collection of 4 wts.

crystal river cahill fly rod
I recently received this fly rod for a gift. I have never fly fished before. I took a class with a Registered Maine Guide. He was very impressed with my rod and the ease of casting without tying a beginner upwith lots of expensive equipment. I broke my gift rod 2 days after the class by leaning it in a doorway and closing the door on it. PANICK!! Luckily you had the exact same rod and I also got the case for future protection.
