 little high priced
it was a good rod for the first day of fishing. i had the 8wt tempest rod. on the first salmon of the second day it broke. the rod was in great shape and the salmon was only around 5 lbs. other than that it felt ok in the water. great action. over all its a 3 ( good back up if you can keep it from breaking in half. )

 Tempest Combo
This Fly Combo is getting 5 stars b/c of the price. It is the type of setup that can fish out of the box...literally, just add flys and river. It makes a perfect beginner Rod or a great back-up for a seasoned Vet. I know everybody is going large arbor these days, but this traditional style is perfect for a beginner in my opinion.
