FOR THE PRICE, YOU CAN'T BEAT THIS ROD. I PURCHASED A 4WT PACK ROD, SERVICE FROM TROUTLET WAS VERY GOOD. I CAST BETTER AND FURTHER WITH THIS ROD THAN MY SAGE ROD. ITS THE BEST FLY ROD FOR THE $$$. AND BETTER THAN MANY COSTING MUCH MORE!

I cannot find a single thing wrong with this rod. It has become the first rod I go to for inshore fishing and bigger fish on fast moving rivers as well as lake fishing for striper and bass.

Okuma replaced the 3-weight that shattered when bought it. The replacement part has withstood light casting on the lawn. Seems fine. It was a bit of a pain to deal with the manufacturer with a warranty claim rather than directly with retailer. Took about a week to get replacement part.

I BOUGHT THIS ROD FOR STEELHEAD FISHING.I'VE ONLY HAD IT OUT ONCE BUT HAVE TO ADMIT IT CAST AND FISHED REALLY GOOD.THE ONLY THING I WAS DISSAPOINTED IN WAS IT DID NOT HAVE A HOOK KEEPER DOWN BY THE HANDLE.I MATCHED IT WITH AN OKUMA SLV 8/9 WT.
