easy to rebuild
Out of the box, the alumina aeries are great reels. However over time the internals of mine began to corrode. The good thing is that aluminas are easy to tear apart and rebuild. it took 4 years of heavy saltwater use before they finally seized and i had to toss them. all in all i got more then my moneys worth out of two 45's and a 55.

What a great reel for the price!!! Have used mine in the Niagra river below the falls and the fish don't stand a chance!! Can't find anything bad about this reel. Adding more to my collection as I write this.

super reels! much smoother and more durable than stradics for saltwater fishing.after years of shimano's ,I have finally found what i'm looking for,quality,affordability and dependability. Thanks Okuma!

I am so impressed with the Okuma Alumina reels I am in the process of replaceing all of my reels with them. The quality is amazing, you would expect to pay twice the price for what you are getting. Very dependable, and on the water these reels really deliver. Thanks you guys!
