 Good for beginner
My fiance and I bought Mountain Brook combo in 5/6WT to get started in fly fishing. The combo is really nice! It looks great and feels great. We both have had a lot of fun usuing this combo. The set comes with level line which is "okay." We both upgraded our lines to rio WF line and it made a "huge" difference for the better. If your just getting into fly fishing...the reel is the least important part, the rod is important and the line is the most important part. Spend little on the rod and reel and buy great line, you won't be disappointed. Rio Mainstream from Cabelas and Cabelas prestige / prestige plus are good beginner lines. The only thing I don't like with this combo, the rod action is a bit light, I would prefer it to be a little stiffer, however as a beginner I can cast out 40 yards comfortably.

Good reel and rod
Great beginner rod and reel, nice combo. only problem is that martin skimps on the line and uses a level line which will make it extremely hard for any beginner to learn on, so if you buy it be sure to buy some tapered line and leaders also
