Granger 8ft rod, 2 piece, line #5
Took it out for the first time yesterday -- excellent! Getting my skills back after a 25 year haitus and bought this to supplement my old Orvis 8 1/2' 6wt. w/ Battenkill reel -- which cost a heck of a lot more than this even in 1980's dollars. This rod is a smooth caster with a lot of power to spare. I paired it with an Okuma Sierra reel and some AquaNova WF5F line and got a well-balanced rig that lets me put the fly where I want effortlessly. This would be a great setup for a beginner: a modest investment gets you a rig that will lend confidence as your skills develop and has the quality to make it a "keeper" for a long time to come.

Eagle Claw Fly Rod
I was lucky enough to hear about your product through a message board. I was in the market for a 7 1/2 foot rod for small stream fishing and thought this might be it. Then a friend brought one fishing and I got to cast it. Bought one the next day! I just got to try it out on a small pond. After a couple of 1 1/2 pounds bass on it, I would recommend it to anyone!
