 7FT Ultra-lite Rod
I bought this rod for shore fishing panfish at the local river. I liked the idea of a flexible 7 footer for tossing tiny tube jigs and Rebel Teeny Wee lures. I bought a Shimano Senora reel to pair with it. It's the best combo I've ever used! I plan to buy another rod. Baits rocket out of it and I just put it through the ultimate test, hooking and landing a 25 pound carp on 4lb Trilene XL! I fought the fish for 30 minutes and could hear a few little creaks near the handle (cork grips are great) but the rod did not fail. The handle also dug a bit into my hand after 20 minutes. A man walking by helped me to land the fish. I decided, right there, that this is a rod that will not let me down! Workmanship is excellent, as is the price. I'm sure there are rod/line combos that are better and might even land more fish, but for the money, this is a rod I highly recommend, without reservations.

best ultra light rod by far
The 7' rod has great sensitivity in the tip and a great mid range backbone for those bigger fish. it is also very well balanced. The overall finish and quality of the rod is outstanding it has Fuji Guides and Reel seat. The cork handle and hook keeper are great too. ALL IN ALL YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG WITH THIS ROD PAIRED UP WITH ABU GARCIA 601 MODEL REEL YOU HAVE A WINNER. THANKS TROUTLET FOR A GREAT ROD AT A GREAT PRICE.

 FINE ULTRALIGHT ROD
THIS ROD PROVED ITSELF TO ME LANDING SEVERAL 2 TO 4 POUND RAINBOWS ON A TWO DAY TRIP. HANG A 10 SERIES REEL ON IT WITH SOME 4 LB TEST AND HANG ON. GREAT INEXPENSIVE ALTERNATIVE TO G LOOMIS, ST CROIX, ETC.

 Kokanee Beware and Crappie too...
I use my 8ft UL rod for Kokanee trolling and it is excellent. The rod isn't fast action its is a medium/slow action rod but I caught a 6+lb Bull trout on mine and it did the job in excellent fashion. I have also caught many Rainbow Trout on it and it just works great.

 nice rod.....but.
it's a nice rod fit/finish wise,but it has no backbone at all.more of a parabolic action.i might change the score once i use it,but right now i'll stick at 3 stars.
