 OK for the price
I bought this outfit to use in fly fishing classes I teach. I was looking for inexpensive combos that students could walk away with at the end of the class. The price is great. The rod casts fine. Plastic reel (What do you expect for $22?). I have two real complaints. The combo comes with a level fly line that doesn't float well. That is a real problem for beginners learning to cast and when trying to fish with dry flies. There is also no backing included in this outfit. I learned to fly cast with a level line, but it can be more difficult. A weight forward floating line would make this a much better deal. For beginners, I would recommend upgrading to a combo that had a WF floating line and some backing included in the package. That's what I plan in the future.

Rod works great and my grandson loved it. Also great customer service. I would recommend this site to anyone.
